I just want to go home

I just want to go home

January 2013,  4:00 o'clock pm I was still in the island of Madura East Java, which is still covered by a clinging black cloud in the sky, blue sky covered by a dark cloud seemed to await the arrival of rain is about to fall on the earth.

I speed up the pace bike so as not to rain on the street. Madura is an island known as the island of salt and a variety of traditional craft called "CELURIT" (typical weapon Madura). Usually, the climate is very hot in the famous Madura to make agricultural crops often fail. The native Madura many tansmigration outside the city such as the city of Surabaya and even to outer islands as hard to find a job.

On the way home I could not stop looking for objects of interest and I find once again the black clouds in the sky that will be fantastic even a little scary. In this terrain which is usually used for paddy fields is currently empty there is not much significant activity like. Perhaps the farmers had their crops or profession but I do not know. To be sure the soil is so widespread in the side of the highway.

I immediately issued a tripod and camera to shoot up to the sky with black clouds object. I took photos a few times to ensure the results. Because fear will soon rain I hasten to photograph the camera is not some rain. Because the cost to repair is very expensive camera.

Once all that is done I'm still time to yourself to take a cigarette while riding a motorcycle to go on home.

Welcome Salt Island

Welcome Salt island
The morning was still dark when my husband and I had to cross the island with only a camera and a tripod with a little money in the wallet. On the way from the city of Surabaya to Madura island, I crossed the longest bridge.

At that time a dark cloudy sky may be because it is still early, I just riding motorcycle with a footbridge just pay the ticket for 3000 rupiah or 3 cents, I speed up the pace of my bike so soon to the island or the island of Madura Madura island known as salt. Because the largest salt producer in Indonesia.

When I was crossing the bridge crossing I saw the cloudy sky was amazing. I stop the bike to take my camera and take pictures of cloud with dramatic effect.

This photo I took across the longest bridge in area Madura, currently built Suramadu (Surabaya-Madura) is currently the largest and the longest bridge in Indonesia. Bangkalan is one of the development of Surabaya.

Bangkalan is a district in Madura Island, East Java Province, Indonesia. The capital is Bangkalan. This district is located at the westernmost tip of the island of Madura, bordering the Java Sea to the north, the east and the District Sampang Madura Strait in the south and west.

Also there are other means of transportation such as for marine waders should be using the ferry. Kamal is the gateway port of Madura of Java, where there is a ferry service that connects Surabaya Madura (Edge Port).

Bajang Ratu Temple looks back
In Hamlet Kraton Temon Village District Trowulan I tried to explore the kingdom of Majapahit, who supposedly said gate or queen Bajang temple built of bricks glued to each other degan rub system, except in the doorway and stairs made of andesite stone.
Rectangular building measuring 11.5 m long and 10.5 m wide. Building height and 16.5 m wide entrance hall 1.4 m. The temple is also referred to as Mercury Mix gate or gate that has a roof, which has three parts such as legs, the body, and the roof and walls and fences that have the wings on both sides. And this photo I took of the side wing or side of the temple.

Of the public trust and the myths that have been circulating Bajangratu alleged temple entrance to a shrine to commemorate the death of King Jayanegara the Saka year 1250 or the year 1328 AD.
However, based on relief contained in the estimated building the temple was built in the 13th century - 14.

Mystical side of this temple, is also still very strong. According to the story it is said there is a prohibition or taboos for government officials to cross or enter the temple gates Bajangratu this. According to the belief that there is, someone who has a job in government and violating these restrictions, it is believed will have bad luck.
One of the residents who live around the location of the establishment of the temple Bajang Queen, said. When Queen Bajang temple not much different from the temple - the other temples. However it has its own mystical side radiated of building the temple.
Bajang queen is not much different from the temple - the other temples. But if we look carefully, the temple was kept a separate mystical power. In fact, of the belief there are special restrictions for government officials while in the temple Bajang Queen. Prohibition is forbidden to enter or pass through the gates of the temple. If restrictions were violated, the person believed to be affected by bad luck. According to him, if the temple Bajang beauty queen exceeds temple - other temples in the area Trowulan.
This is because the park is in the court of the temple arranged neatly and beautifully. The beauty queen Bajang more prominent temple of the temple - the temple to another. In addition, if we are in the temple area. Then the peace of the soul we can feel, from here we can also feel strongly that radiated mystical side of the temple, "he said.

Morning Welcome

Morning welcome

When Sunday morning came before the sun rises around 5:00 am on January 2013, I rushed up to resume regular activities to bring the camera with just riding my favorite bike I toured the old city of Surabaya in suburban location.

I saw a fishing pond in the situation is still quiet because no one move as usual. This location in the village of Sewedi border between Surabaya and Madura island about 5 kilometers in East Java Indonesia. Armed with a camera tripod and I'm setting the landscape manual mode, waiting for the sunrise I was sitting on the edge of the footpath as he lit a cigarette hands that I prepared right from home.

When the sun has started spitting out my morning light I grab the camera instantly take a picture with manual mode is very easy for me to understand a lot more to play as you wish.

Sewedi pond is beautiful with people's lives are still traditional and still smelled village atmosphere even though this site has been contaminated by urban dwellers. Since the place is not far from the location of the city, even as the city population lifestyles.

Sometimes I got confused between urban residents to rural residents because they blend in so it makes no difference. Lifestyle of the city and the villages have almost the same level. Maybe for their economic life out of luck because there are many people in the village are still in poverty.

Hopefully they get a better life and more prosperous.

Surabaya skyline

Surabaya city skyline

Sunday, January 2013 I took this photo while on longest bridge Suramadu the meaning of the combination of two of Surabaya city and Madura Island, Sura means sharks and Baya mean crocodiles and the location of the position longest bridge over sea border Madura Strait.
From a distance I stopped the car to take photos of the city of Surabaya with the storey buildings and surrounding houses stood Surabaya's population is very dense at all.
Indeed, the city of Surabaya is very much up to 3 million not including immigrants from outside the city and outside the island. Surabaya is the capital and largest city of East Java in Indonesia after Jakarta as the capital of Indonesia. Surabaya is the gate once the Majapahit Empire, which is at the mouth of Kali Mas. Even anniversary of Surabaya set as the date May 31, 1293.
Mongol troops coming from the sea was described as SURA fish (sharks / bold) and Raden Wijaya forces coming from the land described as BAYA (crocodile / danger), so it literally means the courage to face the coming danger threatens. So the day of victory is celebrated as the anniversary of Surabaya.

I took photos of the "Gateway Weringin Lawang" at Mojokerto Trowulan East Java. There are so many historical relics of the Majapahit kingdom built are included in the photo.

I particularly liked the history in the kingdom era because I was inspired by the movie that I watched during this often. So why do I prove direct real and I can learn a lot to remember in the history of my own country.

Wringin Lawang is located not far to the south of the main road in Jatipasar. In the Java language, "Wringin Lawang" means "door Beringin". This great arch made of red brick with a basic 13 x 11 meters and 15.5 meters high.

Probably built in the 14th century. This gate style commonly called 'temples moment' or split gate type. The architectural style of this kind may appear in the Majapahit era and is now commonly found in Balinese architecture. Most historians agree that this gate is the entrance to the complex important buildings in the capital city of Majapahit.

Allegations about the original function of the building is inviting a lot of speculation, one of the most popular is the gate is thought to be the entrance to the residence of Gajah Mada Mahapatih.

Just follow these steps

Month and the new year there are no plans for the future and records only follow the footsteps where would like to go. Like the photos I've taken this month of January 2013, when I passed the green paddy field just like tapestry held in the middle of a vast field and the location is on the border island of Java and Madura island in East Java.
I looked at my watch shows at 6:30 am when the sun began to warm rays of varying shades. The reflection of the sunlight that falls on the rice field adds a dramatic and full of mystery in it.
I paused on the sidewalk as he opened the bag places bring food from home, just a small meal and two bottles of mineral water were always carried everywhere. This large bag on my shoulder is always there with a camera bag and tripod bag.
When finished eating, I reach for his pockets for a cigarette turned out I did not bring it. Soon my husband hands me thrusting a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, smiling.
My eyes looking around the place there are moments that I rested, he opened a camera bag and tripod bags I prepared setting mode and the exact position on the tripod. Atmosphere has been supported at the site which is a bit overcast and the air was still cold.
one, two, three photo shots of any accompanying sound which I've managed to take the right angle, I saw in the view finder mode which I'm pretty well set. But sometimes too many features for setting fashion way, iso, shutter speed, angle, shooting, diaphragm, and brecket in camera exposure only 3 of which are sometimes made me confused. I've read on the internet there is no camera to use 7 brecket the staining results were perfect .... wow amazing.
For beginners as a photographer as I am quite satisfied with 3 brecket, for hobby and pleasure in the world of photography. Hmmmmmmm i love photography and Thank a lot to all my flickr friends because they allow me to.

There was a time I saw a man running with a small road through rice around the fishing I was out of the car to follow the person. While carrying a camera and a pair so as not to hit the ground wet with overnight rain.
It turns out the person is issued a fishing pole with a red chair with a seat of shrimp for bait fishing. After all mounted fishing pole he threw it into the middle of the fish pond and stick it plugs in to the ground rod.
By waiting rod moves takes time so while waiting for it to open a small bag containing a pack of cigarettes and lit a small fire directed into a cigarette and she enjoyed the beautiful day alone with his hobby.
I had come to sit and enjoy the surroundings and my eye caught a small shack lonely like me in the middle of the fish pond, immediately I took out the camera and immediately I took the photo. This photo was taken in January 2013 in the morning at around 6:00 am.

Changed the shape of the earth

Change the shape of the earth
Sunday, January 27, 2013. I deliberately spend time to find the subject to be photographed scenery and my mind to explore the city Mojokerto because there are a lot of historical relics.
On the way to town Mojokerto in East Java location Trowulan weather was overcast but the air is very hot, I do not know why I was driving so fast because it was hostile.
There are remnants of sunlight is shone into the earth, and it stung the skin. Back when I was a kid during the 1980s, usually when out of town to go to a village where the air is very cool and cold.
Unlike the year 2000 upwards from hostile air and lots of trees felled and the population and number of vehicles are increasing in production and increase air pollution, to make the earth feel crowded by human activities that are not responsible.
As the photo I had taken it, first place was a thick forest and many large trees grow, but now a lot of trees cut down for the expansion of settlements and the expansion of agricultural fields. Though the forest is the lungs of the earth to absorb CO2 (carbon dioxide) and emit O2 (oxygen) air to be inhaled by living things.
Problems like this are very complex one hand we need the air is still pure but on the other hand people need a livelihood such as housing, food and jobs. While the government does not much interfere in this very important.
The lack of sensitivity in dealing with government environmental primarily local nature reserves make people flocked to destroy their own natural resources. I was sad to see the sights that were once very shady and cool now lives expanse of agricultural fields.

Wringin gate temple

Wringin Gate Temple

I purposely look for heritage sites kingdoms in East Java, especially in urban areas Mojokerto. Lots of Majapahit Trowulan kingdom relic as the photos I've taken this A-shaped gate and called Wringin Lawang in the sense of the Java language.
I arrived at the venue overcast but the air was very hot there is a sense of fatigue of having to walk while searching for a good angle. And while there are plenty of visitors who flock that makes me more tired to wait lonely visitor.
Sometimes the Indonesia annoying if someone else took their pictures as if no matter accidentally passing in front of the camera so that it covers the intended subject. Sense of respect for others has vanished in Indonesia since the times of globalization and technology are sometimes misleading. Television footage in Indonesia is not much to educate even more out of control in terms of social and environmental worsening behavior of young people in Indonesia.
Wringin Lawang gate is a gate relics of the Majapahit kingdom the 14th century located in Jatipasar, District Trowulan, Mojokerto, East Java, Indonesia. The building is located a short distance to the south of the main road in Jatipasar.
In the Java language, Wringin Lawang means 'Door banyan'.
This great arch made of red brick with a basic 13 x 11 meters and 15.5 meters high. Probably built in the 14th century. Gate-style temple is commonly called moment or split gate type. The architectural style is thought to arise as Majapahit era and is now commonly found in Balinese architecture. Most historians agree that this gate is the entrance to the complex important buildings in the capital city of Majapahit. Allegations about the original function of the building is inviting a lot of speculation, one of the most popular is the gate is thought to be the entrance to the residence of Gajah Mada Mahapatih.

Bajang Ratu Temple looks ahead

The alarm sounds at 4:30 am shows a hurry I'm preparing camera equipment and I took the usual camera bag I put on closet adjacent to the tripod as I prepared last night before bed.
Month of January Sunday morning I went out, not forgetting first heat before leaving the vehicle so that the engine can normalize. Complimentary snacks such as bread, beverages, candy, and certainly I always carry cigarettes. I aim now is to go to the village Temon, Trowulan district, Mojokerto regency, East Java, Indonesia.
Why I chose this area because I did not explore with the camera and there are many relics of the Majapahit kingdom such as temples. Arriving at the destination I pulled out a pack of cigarettes for a smoke break while enjoying the beautiful scenery. I setting camera first so if you find the right subject I can directly grab without having to miss a moment.
The photo I took was "Archway Bajang Queen" or "Temple Bajang Queen". Bajang gate Queen or also known as the Temple of Queen Bajang is a gate / relic temple in the village of Majapahit Temon, District Trowulan, Mojokerto, East Java, Indonesia. Bajang Ratu in Javanese language means the king or nobleman small (dwarf) and the meaning Bajang is single. Since the time the young king crowned and given the title Queen Bajang which means "Little King".
According to local legend believed as a child or a king known as King Jayanegara this fall and cause defects in the gate his body so given the title King of disability or Bajang Queen.
The building was probably built in the 14th century was one of the big arch in the heyday of the Majapahit. According to the Archeological Heritage Preservation Board Mojokerto, temple / gate serves as the entrance to the shrine to commemorate the death of King Jayanegara in Negarakertagama called "back to the world of Vishnu" in 1250 Saka (circa 1328 AD).
But actually before his death Jayanegara temple was used as a back door of the kingdom. This assumption is supported by the relief "Sri Tanjung" and wings arches symbolizes release and until now in this area has become a cultural Trowulan if required mourn the dead through the back door.

Cloudy Sky

January 2013, time 12:00 am o'clock in the evening my eyes closed when it is difficult to meet the arrival of the morning I was still awake. But I'm still struggling with laptop to browse the internet to find places of historic and unique to be taken photo.
In the end my decision fell on the city Trowulan Mojokerto in East Java because there are many mysteries stored heritage temples of the Majapahit kingdom. Up at 3:00 am in the morning my eyes started to feel heavy and wanted to get a break to sleep because tomorrow morning I should be traveling to the target area Trowulan.
As usual alarm clock sounds as tight as a drum with ears would burst, showing alarm clock at 4:30 am I immediately woke my husband to get ready to go hunting for the collection. Some important needs are not forgotten I prepared the night before going to sleep like headache medicine, drinking water, snacks, a tripod that is equipped with a water pass, sunglasses, jackets, and several other camera equipment.
On the way to the pass Trowulan Mojokerto many cloudy sky along the road like a giant painting. I'm very interested in the subject of landscape because there is a sense of freedom to fantasize and my imagination drift off.
I stopped the vehicle to prepare the setting mode, after all the programs I had a camera ready to take pictures with the whole subject of wide and zoom. Once everything was done I had a break.
I grab a drink to wet my throat dry from the heat though overcast. Not to forget I took a cigarette while resting on the green meadow in this photo is a stretch of cornfield I really enjoy God's creation beautiful and amazing.
