I took photos of the "Gateway Weringin Lawang" at Mojokerto Trowulan East Java. There are so many historical relics of the Majapahit kingdom built are included in the photo.
I particularly liked the history in the kingdom era because I was inspired by the movie that I watched during this often. So why do I prove direct real and I can learn a lot to remember in the history of my own country.
Wringin Lawang is located not far to the south of the main road in Jatipasar. In the Java language, "Wringin Lawang" means "door Beringin". This great arch made of red brick with a basic 13 x 11 meters and 15.5 meters high.
Probably built in the 14th century. This gate style commonly called 'temples moment' or split gate type. The architectural style of this kind may appear in the Majapahit era and is now commonly found in Balinese architecture. Most historians agree that this gate is the entrance to the complex important buildings in the capital city of Majapahit.
Allegations about the original function of the building is inviting a lot of speculation, one of the most popular is the gate is thought to be the entrance to the residence of Gajah Mada Mahapatih.
